Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Applied Science or equivalent diploma/certification from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist in a hospital or emergency room setting.
• ARRT Certification required.
• CPR/BLS Certification required.
• Current Texas Department of State Health Services Radiologic Technologist license required.

Required Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology.
• Knowledge of current radiologic technology trends, techniques, and procedures.
• Proficiency in operating computerized X-ray and CT equipment.
• Ability to perform and learn radiologic equipment quality-control procedures.
• Basic computer and electronic recordkeeping skills.
• Strong patient-care, communication, and clinical support skills.
• Ability to safely position and handle patients for various diagnostic examinations.
• Understanding of radiation safety and diagnostic imaging protocols.
